Why doesn't the other one look me in the eye?

For a long time it was thought that, for example, a liar does not look you in the eye. Studies in psychology have shown the opposite. A majority of people who are lying will, on the contrary, look you in the eyes because the liar wants to make sure that you really believe his or her story. So it's very common for liars to look you in the eye more than the person who is telling the truth. Of course, if you have a child, for example, who is telling a lie for the first time and has had little practice in lying, it is possible that their eyes will drop off too.
